The Working Groups

The working groups are responsible for developing the goals for their respective work plans and contributing to an annual report card.

The working groups’ responsibilities include:

  • Using a collaborative approach to build on existing programs and, where necessary, develop new initiatives.
  • Addressing priority actions identified in the Peel Youth Violence Prevention Committee Report.
  • Reporting to the Steering Committee throughout the year with progress reports on actions taken.

The three working groups that work with the PYPVN Steering Committee are:

Community Development: Building an understanding of vulnerable populations

Families & Education: Developing positive communication between parents and youth and making schools safer

Services and Support for Youth: Creativity leading to change
