Earnscliffe Step Team - student spotlight
May 25, 2009Members of Earnscliffe Senior Public School's Step Team has helped the school make strides in creating a positive image and sense of community over the last few years.
These students, many of them considered at-risk, have been instrumental in raising morale and spirit in the school, neighbouring schools and the community. Their diligent practicing regimen has produced spectacular performances that have gained them popularity and invitations to various community events.
This group of hard working and talented 11 to 14-year-olds serves as school ambassadors- connecting the students and staff at Earnscliffe with their community.
The team has brought out a focus and commitment in students that motivates, creates relationships and produces a community atmosphere at the school. All three streams at the school- French Immersion, middle school and the arts program- work and celebrate success together.
